The Law Society of NSW Corporate Lawyers, together with PricewaterhouseCoopers, are delighted to invite you to a special ethics seminar, Risking It All, at 5.30pm on 18 March 2010.
The seminar will feature an exclusive screening of a film, produced by PricewaterhouseCoopers, which shows how the senior management and audit committee of a company react to a crisis situation, demonstrating what could go wrong if correct decisions are not made at key moments.
Watch a trailer of the film.
The film (30 minutes in length), and a panel discussion with pre-eminent speakers, will look into issues which resonate with many corporate lawyers, including:
- How to make a reliable internal investigation?
- What view will the Regulator take?
- When are they willing to be reasonable or less so?
- What the role of the general counsel should be?
- Managing the fall-out – communicating with stakeholders including the market and media.
Chair:
Mrs Louise Massey, Director, PricewaterhouseCoopers
Panel speakers:
- Mr Michael Daniel, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers
- Mr John O’Sullivan, Chairman, Credit Suisse (Australia)
- Ms Bridget Powell, General Counsel, HSBC (TBC)
This seminar satisfies the requirements of New Rule 42 of the Revised Professional Conduct and Practices Rules (as part of a practitioner's MCLE units each year, one point must be devoted to ethics).
Refreshments will follow the seminar at 7pm.
Cost: $50 per person.
