The Law Society is offering a free one-day seminar program in Sydney on 23 February 2012, to assist you to meet your MCLE obligations.
The program. which is being held in conjunction with the City of Sydney Law Society, comprises two 3-hour modules which will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
A minimum number of 30 registrations is required for the program to proceed.

These workshops will help you to recognise and understand the pressures of practice that can lead to poor mental health, poor decisions and poor outcomes.
You will come away with a toolkit of strategies, including case studies, information and resources.
Module 1 deals with the threats to sanity, profitability and wellbeing and includes topics such as:
- How to manage client personality behaviours without becoming one yourself.
- The nature of the work and its stressors.
- Managing stress, and recognising and combating depression, bi-polar, anxiety and vicarious trauma in yourself and others.
Module 2 concentrates on understanding, preventing and responding, such as:
- Understanding the various mental illnesses and their symptoms.
- The role of drugs and alcohol in workplace cultures.
- When do you and others cross the line into unhelpful behaviours.
- Strategies to think and act in a helpful way.
Cost: The seminar is free. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
