This CLE will provide an overview of the technical and strategic skills necessary for effective human rights litigation. You will hear from three speakers who have made significant contribution to the protection of human rights in Australia through litigation and advocacy. Robin Banks will consider different models of litigation available for the protection of human rights. Kate Eastman will draw on her experience in this field and provide tips on how to identify and run a successful test case. Jonathon Hunyor will consider the role of human rights interveners in litigation and how this strategy maybe used to protect and promote human rights.
