The paper will cover:

• Sentencing in serious traffic matters especially those where gaol is a real possibility for example, when the offender has a long history of similar major offences ( high range PCA, drive whilst disqualified, dangerous or negligent driving, driving occasioning death or GBH, and
• The more common pitfalls in relation to these kinds of matters, as well as ancillary orders such as habitual offender declarations and the use of the interlock programme.
